9 MONTHS
We had your 9 month check up on March 21 and you weighed 20lb’s and were 28 ¼ inches long. You are in 9 month clothes and definitely OUT of your 6 month clothes.
Eating: You eat about 8oz of soy every 4 hours and haven’t had cereal in it for a few weeks at this point. Sit up is completely over. You started a sippy cup around 9 months. You quickly learned how to sit up and drink but we still mostly lay you back to drink it. You eat about 6 oz of baby food 2 times a day. Started 3rd Foods too during your 9 months. No sweet potatoes still but you mainly eat just about anything we give you! So you eat fruit in the mornings and a green or orange vegetable in the evening with another fruit. You haven’t started table foods yet but the dr. told us to start feeding you literally anything and everything, so here goes…
You are fairly quite but you have your moments where you will go to town with that babbling! I still love it when you talk! You haven’t said anything specific yet but I know you will get there! You are definitely a busy body and nosey, nosey, nosey!
You don’t mind being left in a room by yourself, but if someone goes out the side carport door…let’s just say someone might think you were dying! You are a mess! I don’t know what it is about that particular door!
Sleep is still good! We still just lay you down and you go right to sleep. You don’t like sleeping in your pack and play really…I guess I wouldn’t either…I’m sure it’s not very comfortable…even with a sheet. You take 2 naps still…one in the morning about 1 to 1 ½ hours and one in the afternoon about 2 hours long.
You laugh at a little more now…you aren’t one of those babies that will just sit there and crack up/belly laugh at stuff…but it’s precious to see you laugh when you do! Daddy is still the best at it! You love daddy that’s for sure…you still get very excited when he comes home from anywhere!
I can’t believe how far you have come and how much you have grown! It amazes me to see what all you learn each day. I love every minute…mostly…that I have with you!

You eat by hand twice a day: A few tablespoons of fruit in the morning and a few tablespoons of some kind of vegetable (s) in the evening.
You started wearing 9-12 months and some 12 months. Some brands are a little long, but most of the time they fit pretty good.
You are becoming so much more independent. You love to roam around the house and get into things. Most of the time stuff you aren’t supposed to get in to. I really need to start child proofing ASAP!

11MONTHS
So excited to go to your 1 year check up! I can’t believe at this point it was only a month away!
I can’t wait to see how big you are! You are for sure in 12 month clothes now. The 12 month pj’s don’t fit quite right. I have found that the pajamas without feet fit you TONS better!
You’re eating habits are exactly the same as they were at 10 months except you started whole milk this month. You LOVE it. You still like it a little warm. You don’t miss your formula at all!!!
You still only babble. I swear you started saying dada on purpose the weekend of June 4 though. Who knows? You know who mama and dada are, you know what your paci is, you know what juice or milk is, you know what to do when we say “yay”, you know what “patty cake” is, you know what “bite” means, and you definitely know what “no no” means. Even though you know what “no no” means you love to test us! You never stop the first time…EVER! During your 11 months you started pitching fits when we go to change you. You have even gotten so bad a few times that you have held your breath. I don’t know why you started this. You literally, no lie, woke up one morning and started doing it.
You started walking on your own (taking a step or two on your own) the week of May 9.
You cut your first tooth on May 18.
You started waving “bye bye” more consistently on May 26.
You cut your second tooth on May 31.
The week of May 30 (around the 1st of June) you started walking soooo much more. Earlier during the week you were taking more and more steps. By the 1st you were literally just walking around in circles. You will crawl when you fall down and can’t get back up but you mainly walk everywhere you go now. You are still curious and nosey! I love to see the things you find to get into though. It is hilarious some of the things you get yourself into. Just this morning (June 6) you got into a suitcase we had unpacked from your first beach trip and it was hilarious watching you try to find a way to get out of it. Speaking of your first beach trip…you loved the water, you love the pool, but the sand…not so much. You did enjoy sitting in my lap at the edge of the water. We only went to the beach for a day because we were only there for the weekend for a wedding. The one beach day you were so relaxed and calm. You fell asleep on the beach and took a short nap with daddy under the umbrella. We have another beach trip coming up soon and Daddy and I can’t wait to just have a relaxing 8 days with you at the beach with some family!
Sleep: So far So good! We still just lay you down and you go right to sleep. You STILL don’t like sleeping in your pack and play really. On our beach trip you cried for the first day and a half but I actually think you got used to it after that because you didn’t really cry much after that…yay! You are still on the same nap schedule too!
You will cackle a little now! It is adorable. You get SOOO excited when someone crawls on the ground towards you acting like they are going to “get you”. Sometimes you start laughing so hard all you can do is scream out! It’s absolutely contagious…you can’t help but to laugh with you! Other people can usually make you laugh a little, but daddy still holds the record for the hardest laugh!
Just to get an idea…this is what your schedule/routine is like at 11 months/1 Year!

Your first birthday is in 12 days! OH MY! Where did my baby boy go? We have a 1 year photo shoot this weekend…so excited to see what my friend Sarah of Sarah Howard Photography will do! She’s so talented with children! Your party will be a nautical/sailboat theme. I can’t wait to see how you do with the cake. I have a feeling you might not like it though because I made a “captains wheel” with your handprint in the center for decoration for the party and you ABSOLUTELY HATED the paint on your hands. We will get a sneak peak of how you will do at your photo session. Nana wants a picture similar to your cousin, Bryson, where colorful icing is all over your face from eating the cake! SO EXCITED!
