Don’t really know how much you weigh or how long you are, but you are probably around 18lbs. and 27 inches long. Still in a size 3 diaper. You are still wearing size 6-9 months now. Already almost growing out of 6 month clothes though! You are still eating from 6-7oz of soy every 4 hours. You are down to 2 ½ Tbs of rice cereal and your spit up is ok. You seem to just spit up because you are ALWAYS on your tummy and I feel like it’s just the pressure that is doing it. You are doing better and better every day with holding your own bottle…still no sippy cup…you just aren’t a fan yet. Still eating baby food twice a day. You eat like a jar to a jar and a half each time you eat. You LOVE all the food…I swear you would eat that for every meal if you could! You are on 2nd foods and there are so many you definitely haven’t tried them all. I TRY to keep you on the same/similar foods for each week so that it doesn’t mess with your tummy from changing it up all the time.
You are talking more and more everyday. You now say dadadadada all the time…you won’t say mamamama anymore! You still say bababababa and nenenenene too. You have learned to spit at people with your tongue! Obviously you aren’t spitting at them but that is the only way I know how to explain it…you’re just trying new things. On January 15 you crawled on your knees for the first time. On January 18/19 you started trying to lift up onto things using your arms! You are doing better and better every day with crawling on your knees…you will be a pro before you know it.
You have started having separation anxiety…you won’t let me leave the room or you freak out. Not too bad you just start wining and crawling after me! If I don’t come back then you get into a full on cry and have even lost your breathe a few times you got so upset. But, this will pass! Don’t worry, I am having separation anxiety too! I still am a little…well who am I kidding…am VERY leery about people keeping you! I hate it and wish I could move past it! I did so well when I had to go back to work after you were born…but once I started staying home with you it spoiled me!
Sleep, well let’s just say your momma got real wore out with having to bounce you to sleep 3-4 times a day! Daddy could rarely get you to sleep and often times he is just getting home from basketball games when I am laying you down. So we started this week with just laying you down…you have done SO good! I am so proud of you. You do cry yourself to sleep, but it doesn’t take you long to drift off. You have done very good once you go to sleep with not waking up and crying, but we put the video monitor in there to check on you in case you do. Little did we know, but you get in some FUNNY positions when you fall asleep, but you inevitably get on your tummy and nuzzle into a corner! I feel sure that you will eventually do away with the crying but I am happy you are doing as good as you are doing! You're bedtime is still between 8:00 and 9:00 and you still wake up between 7:00 and 8:00. Sometimes 8:30! Mornings are still your best times! Still taking 2 naps a day for 1 – 1 ½ hours long each day.
You definitely reach out for me and other people when they reach for you. You also will crawl to me when I reach my hands out for you!
You laugh more and more everyday! Daddy still can really get you going! He know all te good tickle spots.
Baby boy you are growing up faster than I ever imagined. I had my first…he’s getting to be a big boy…break down the other day. I often wonder if I am doing everything I should do. I sometimes let a day pass and once I look back on it, I regret not doing things and seems like I didn’t have enough one on one time! I love you so much I can’t even explain it. One day a long ways away you will know what it is like to have that kind of love! It’s a love that runs deeper than the soul! Just thinking of that kind of love brings tears to my eyes because if I love you that much I can’t imagine how much our God loves us! Sometimes when I hold you I can’t help but to think of one of my favorite songs and part of it says…you’re in the arms of an angel may you find some comfort here…you are my angel and I always find comfort in your arms!
