Wednesday I was 25 weeks pregnant! Only 15 more weeks to go! Owen is as big as an eggplant. He should be approximately 13.6 inches long and weigh approximately 1.5 pounds. Supposedly you should be able to hear the heartbeat just by putting your ear up to my tummy (no stethoscope required). We will see if that is actually true! He is apparantly forming capillaries that is giving him a pink glow! His eyes have almost been completely formed and will soon start to learn how to blink. I can't believe he is getting so big! I finally had to break down and go buy a few maternity pants and dresses! They are so much more confortable - however, I am still in that in between stage where I am too big, WAY too big for regular clothes, and too small for the smallest maternity clothes - so I have been pulling at my pants all day, but it's still better than the ol' rubber band holding my pants together! Our bedding comes in this afternoon, which means, YES, we will start painting the nursary! We are going to get the paint and supplies this weekend! We also ordered our crib and will be getting our mattress once the crib comes in. The crib that I had picked out wasn't in stock ANYWHERE! I ended up getting a completely different one, but we actually like it better - it looks really good with the changing table we had picked out. I had the changing table picked out and just had to have it - there is no way I would have found another one I liked as much, so I had to stick with the same brand so my furniture at least halfway matched. It is DaVinci. Apparantly this brand is the MOST popular. EVERYTHING they sale is sold out almost immediately!
For those of you who didn't know, NO BIG DEAL, but I had to go to the hospital last Saturday (of course right when Mom and I started the yard sale that I was looking forward to ALL week). I called my Dr. for some reassurance that it was ok to not feel Owen moving - it had been several days. She said it could be normal but she wanted me to come in, that he was big enough to where I should have been feeling him move, but it wasn't really uncommon. So off I went, and of course after 2 days of NO movement...and I mean NO movement...as soon as they hooked me up to the machine he started going buck! He was kicking the "sensor" everywhere! She did an ultrasound too and Charlie got to see it - It was nice b/c he wasn't there when I found out he was a boy - so he had only seen the frist ultrasound where he was as small as my fingernail! He was just laying there...and of all things...sucking his thumb! WHAT!? Boy was he going to town! Oh well, whatever makes him happy! So, that's about it...more to come soon!
