Thought For The Day

As a saved, born again, believer, I go to church weekly...Sunday morning, night, and Wednesdays. This is not what takes away pain or problems in life. Going to church often, and as a singer, (at my very small church) I hear, and personally sing, about how God loves us and how great God is! Too often though, I find myself hearing and singing these things and letting it touch my heart, but I turn right around and forget about it. Until we REALLY BELIEVE, I mean believe to the point that we let it change our daily lives and the way we think, speak, and act...until we REALLY BELIEVE that our God is Great, we will never really know his love. Until we surrender and REALLY BELIEVE that our God is BIGGER than any financial problem, BIGGER than any marital problem, BIGGER than any emptiness problem, BIGGER than any job problem, BIGGER than any anger problem, BIGGER than any addiction, just BIGGER than life, then that is when God can really work in our lives! Nothing surprises God. All that we go through in this life doesn't catch him off guard. We hear this, but do we truly believe it, because if we truly believed it, then we wouldn't act the way we did, we wouldn't speak the way we speak, and we wouldn't think the way we think. Do we truly believe? I want to believe, I want to be different, I don't want to speak it and not truly have that burning belief and desire in my heart. TRULY BELIEVING that my God loves me and that my God is BIG is what gets us through this life...while only here for a short time...the time that we are here doesn't need to be wasted with thinking and hearing without believing! When we sit back and just BELIEVE/HAVE FAITH, that is when our BIG God will do BIG things!
